Indian Olympic Association (IOA) is the National Olympic Committee of India and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. IOA is, inter alia, responsible for the ...

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) is the National Olympic Committee of India and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. IOA is, inter alia, responsible for the preparation and participation of Indian sportspersons and teams in the Olympic Games as well as in Regional events like Commonwealth and Asian Games. The other responsibilities undertaken by the IOA include deciding the organisation of National Gamesand promoting and developing the Olympic Movement.

National Sports Federations (NSFs) are responsible for promotion and development of specific sports disciplines. Conduct of National championships and participation of Indian sportspersons and teams of a specific sports discipline in World Championships, Asian Championships and Commonwealth Championships, among others, is responsibility of the concerned NSF.

IOA and NSFs are autonomous bodies registered under Societies Registration Act. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has been insisting with IOA and NSFs to ensure transparency and good governance in their functioning and selection of sportspersons for participation in international tournaments.

It is honest and upright individuals who ensure good governance and transparency to the organisation. Organisations are mere lifeless bodies without strong individuals. Due to abundance of willing candidates, healthy competition seldom gets recognition and encouragement.

Sir, i am from UTTARAKHAND. Sports bodies are totally corrupted here... No facility, financial helps are provided to the sportsmen. So, we need some help from our state government. But our government doesn't support any sports exept fews. I want that every sports manage equally,and some steps should be taken to motivate every sport.

Or Amir se lekar garib jo bhi telented banda ho use Aage badhne ka mouka diya jaye 🙏

To ensure transparency & good governing it is essential that the sports federation & olympic association be run by former sportsperson if they are interested .They will surely provide good governance besides helping our sportsperson by their vast knowledge & to motivate them to perform their best .They will also help reduce their problems which they face every due to various issues like lack of money and facilities etc .They will surely have a good bonding with sportsperson .

PM Mr Narendra Modi has CONGRATULATED the successful students on BOARD EXAMINATION RESULTS, and CONSOLED the others stating TAKE FAILURE AS AN OPPORTUNITY, LAYS FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS. But what about those DESERVING STUDENTS, WHO WERE LEFT BEHIND JUST FOR SAKE OF GREAT PRIVILEGED RESERVATION CATEGORIES, Resp. PM Mr NARENDRA MODI SIR what FOUNDATION should they consider.

olympic me tirandaji aur weight lifting and race (Dorne) ke liye aadiwashi state ilaka se child ko hire kare school se select kare wo log kabil to hote hain lekin unhe choose nahi kiya jata kyonki unka koi bhi relative powerfull jagah par nahi hota ya support ke liye nahi hota. village ke bachho me kafi hunar chhipa hota hai. lekin use koi nahi dekh pata hai. please ek sarkari team ho jo door daraj enterior village me jaye aur hunar wala ladka dhudhe aur promot kare. sahar me la kar. thanks

WHEN SAF GAMES WAS CONDUCTED IN CHENNAI THE ACCOUNTING AND THE ADMIN WAS DONE BY THE TN GOVERNMENT - SAME WAY ANY CONDUCT OF EVENT THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE OVER THE CONDUCT.THIS INCLUDES SEEKING SPOSORS AND ALSO DONORS

Lets take example of National Rifle Association of India. Bhatia and sons have made it their fiefdom. Last time Union Information minister Col Rathore also contested for the post its president but not allowed with out any reasons. Like it numerous sports federations/ associations do not want gud persons come in Federations.They have made federation their family affairs. Once Govt strictly implement rules and regulations, their wings automatic clipped.
