ganga should have partition on both side of the bank. Inlet of water in partition will enter through graviy and outlet of water after treaatment should be released in ganga.outlet of water in ganga should have sensor installed and connected to national data and pollution control unit (server) from where one person can monitor the things and punishment and instructions can be issued. person can use ghatt made of concrete for bathing right and rituals. Boats should have special instruction also

Once these factors are identified, there needs to be alternative methods or call it "sustainable" methods to tackle them and hence it not only is beneficial for the ghats but also reduces pollution in Ganga caused due to people on ghats.

Varanasi Ghat has a unique character in it's self! Even if all the river fronts are developed with ghats, then Varanasi still remains the face of India. Instead of redeveloping it, we need to rehabilitate it to preserve the essence of the ghat. In order to do this, we need to analyze the factors that are worsening the conditions of ghats (waste from temples, ashes from dead bodies, plastic or anything).

1. We should decide that we will not pollute any river
2. Our government should make a proper seveg plan

Sabse pahle hame ganga me jo ganda paani jata hai use rokvana chahiye kyuki koi kitni bhi kosis kyu na kar le jab tak ganda pani ganga me jata rahega tab tak ganga kaise shudh hogi... iske liye hame aur government ko milkar us paani ko kahi safe jagah rakhakar usse bijli aur ganga me jane vale gande ko bhi use kar kar usse bijli paida karvani chahiye jisse gande paani or kuda karkat ki khapat bhi ho jayegi aur ganga bhi saaf rahegi....

Ganga ghats are the heart and soul of people of Varanasi. Re -structuring is required but that can be challenging for the government. I would suggest the opposite front of ganga is open for all such endeavor. Govt. should develop and implement Ganga Front on lines of Sabarmati Front. This will help diverting the tourists at the same time the heritage of ghats will also be preserved. Gradually the people of Varanasi will also be ready to accept re-structuring of old ghats.

Plastic free zone has to be done first. Tirupati tirumala devasom board has maintained ghat nicely so same model could be followed ...

Decongestion near the Ghats can be achieved by acquiring non-heritage buildings and structure (say less than 100 years old) and developing the area through a well planned overall layouts. The persons displaced in the process of acquisition should be resettled and compensated adequately.

1) Establish Ganga cleanliness committee in Varanasi.
2) Penalize people who pollute Ganga either by immersing ashes or either by bathing in it.
3) Have regular checkups of water. Make sure its BOD level well remains in its limits.
4)Make several points/marks in the rivers where surface filters should be installed. The sewage and waste should not flow beyond Varanasi. Automatically it flows cleanly after varanasi.

This is my third proposal. First was Japanese tech burning ghat, Second, "diya of 1000 pujaries" and third, have "bell" connected to all temples in the city, all will ring at 3 AM and after 4 hours synchronously, the beautiful sound of ringing should fill entire city. Fifth proposal is that at least around the ghat, combine all temples ask architect to create a combined design so that minor changes will convert the entire region as part of single temple, thus, it will be integrated.
